RECAP | Pecha Kucha Night Chicago VOL.60
These 10 presenters made the audience think and laugh on June 4th at Martyrs'.

Heather Salisbury started the evening with ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ - a personal journey of becoming concerned about Earth in a young age and living it in various ways of her personal and professional life.
Rachelle Zola presented remotely via zoom from the road with the help of Andy Swindler and Rachel Zargo on stage - the road from Chicago to Montgomery she is WALKING for racial equity.
Chuck Jones had me with his Instagram tagline: A disappointment. Since 1970. He gave us a cross section of his art and history and the tagline did not disappoint.
Mitchell Trachtenberg founded the satire magazine THE MACHINE and gave some pointed commentary about Chicago.
Orion Meadows talked about revolutionary love. Racial discrimination and alternatives to incarceration. The spoken word portion was very powerful.
The Beerbreak with the PK Allstar Band

Sharon Exley shared insightful commentary on children and creativity, drawing from personal examples of her daughter's journey from childhood to adulthood.
Mark Paternostro took us to space and art and his alter ego atomthought and hopefully ends up at the sphere in Las Vegas.
Jeff Phillips, Mr PKN Chicago, again surprised with a “new” passion - projection. He showed various projection installation at schools, empty buildings and his apartment. The oversized swinging light bulb in his apartment window was mesmerizing.
Holly Akkerman transcended the stage by not only talking about how she sewed a blow-up pizza - but actually blowing it up in front of the stage. Well Done.
Graham Brown told us about being an extra on the batman movie and how crazy that was #willyrises. It was a whiplash of fun, pain, sadness and amazing moments.
It was again a very diverse range of topics from serious to hilarious, we addressed racism multiple times, the environment and witnessed a lot of art and passion.
A perfect Pecha Kucha Night.
Thank you for joining us - and/or see you at the next one!
